adidas SL72 OG Aurora Ruby Solar Yellow Velvet Women is a bold revival of a true 1970s running icon, reworked for today’s sneaker and streetwear crowd who want heritage shape with standout colour. If your rotation leans towards retro runners, terrace classics, and textured uppers that pop on the street, this pair brings serious energy without losing that OG adidas DNA.

Built on the SL72’s low-slung profile, it stands out through its rich materials and high-contrast finish—perfect for collectors chasing something different, and newcomers who want a statement trainer that still feels rooted in adidas history.

start with the upper: lightweight nylon forms the base, while velvety suede overlays add depth and a premium feel. The colourway does the heavy lifting in the best way—an Aurora Ruby base delivers deep, saturated tone, while Solar Yellow hits across the Three Stripes and heel tab for that electric, instantly recognisable contrast. Underfoot, a soft EVA midsole keeps the look authentically vintage while adding everyday cushioning, and the throwback peg rubber outsole finishes the story with proper retro running traction.

There’s a clear nod to adidas’ performance archives here, but it’s been tuned for modern streetwear styling: classic lines, loud colour, and tactile textures that look even better up close.

: the SL72 OG’s streamlined build keeps it light on foot, while the EVA cushioning helps take the edge off long days in the city. The mix of nylon and suede is made for regular wear, and that pegged outsole brings dependable grip whether you’re commuting, heading to a gig, or just keeping things clean with everyday trainers.
