adidas SL 72 Collegiate Green Women is a proper throwback runner brought into today’s streetwear rotation. Built off the original 1970s SL 72 shape, these adidas trainers keep that low-slung, fast silhouette that looks just as good with modern apparel as it does with vintage-inspired fits.

Although the heritage is pure adidas, the details make it feel fresh: the rich Collegiate Green base gives the pair a bold, wearable hit of colour, while the streamlined profile keeps it clean for everyday styling. If you’re into retro runners, terrace energy, and easy-to-wear classics that still stand out, this one’s an instant win.

start with a lightweight Collegiate Green nylon upper that nods straight back to the era the SL 72 was born in. Soft suede overlays add depth and texture across the toe and key panels, giving the shoe that premium, layered look sneakerheads always clock. Contrast comes through via signature Cloud White 3-Stripes and adidas branding, keeping the colour blocking sharp and unmistakably OG.

Underfoot, an EVA midsole handles cushioning without bulking up the shape, staying true to the low-profile runner design. It’s finished with a grippy rubber outsole designed for reliable traction and durability — the kind of build that makes these trainers a go-to whether you’re out all day or just keeping your rotation tight.

: The SL 72 is all about lightweight comfort and easy wear. The nylon-and-suede mix keeps things breathable and supportive, while the cushioned midsole softens the feel for daily miles. The low cut and slim shape make it ideal for streetwear looks where you want a classic runner vibe without the chunk.
