On Saturday 7th of May the basketball courts on Brighton beach were filled with the sound of cheers, the smell of fried chicken and the hopes of winning OG Kicks store credit.
OG Kicks, in collaboration with The Bok Shop, hosted a 4v4 basketball tournament in which the winners each received £100 to spend at OG Kicks Bond Street store on anything from popular Jordan’s to Stone Island streetwear.
With 16 teams of four players – eight under 17 teams and eight over 17 teams – the tournament's first match went underway at 4pm. A high standard of basketball was enjoyed by the crowd, and events were equally exciting off the court with free haircuts from Brighton barber @Jojo.tonge (Instagram) and free grills by Fonzo Jewellers based in Meeting House Lane.
The most popular thing, of course, was the free chicken supplied by The Bok Shop which went down a treat with the hungry athletes.
The afternoon saw The 4 Headed Goat team win the junior finals. Confident of their abilities they also entered the senior competition and went on to win that too!
